Manchester United are not new to the Champions League and have enjoyed a lot of European success in the past. They now begin their 2018/19 UCL campaign away from home at the Stade de Suisse against Young Boys.
The Red Devils topped their group last season and won 5 of the 6 group games to progress to the round of 16. However, Sevilla got the better of them in the knockouts, leaving United disappointed.
Despite a mixed start in the Premier League, Mourinho must aim to guide his team to a win here against Young Boys, who are the defending Swiss Super League champions. Regardless, here is how the English outfit will line-up tonight:
Mourinho has certainly made some risky decisions. It is great to see David De Gea continuing between the sticks. But surprisingly enough, the gaffer has chosen to hand summer arrival Diogo Dalot a start.
Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof will continue as the centre-back pairing while Luke Shaw will play at left-back. The midfield remains more or less the same but Anthony Martial has finally received a start. The Frenchman must utilize this opportunity to impress Mourinho.
Lukaku has been in terrific form and it will be interesting to see if he grabs a goal tonight. Paul Pogba has blown hot and cold this season but if he steps up to perform well, there’s no stopping United at all.
