Conor McGregor Talks UFC 246 Main Event

Published by

Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor recently made some comments regarding his upcoming bout against Donald Cerrone. This will be McGregor’s return fight following the submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fight will main event this Saturday’s UFC 246 event from Las Vegas.

Conor will be fighting against Cerrone in the Welterweight division. McGregor was previously the Champion of the 170 pound division, and it appears as though he wants to get back to the top of the pile. Although McGregor has suffered some high profile losses he remains one of the biggest draws in UFC history. This weekend’s event is expected to draw big numbers for the world’s top MMA promotion.

McGregor recently spoke to The Mac (his own site) regarding the bout. “Me and Donald have history and I did say I’d fight him,” McGregor stated. “If you look at the list of people that I’ve engaged with, Donald was one of the first ones. He’s first on the list and that’s it. I’ll get to every single one of them.”

“Donald’s a great fighter, great record, knockdowns, head kicks, most fights, most rounds,” McGregor said. “A lot of UFC records under his belt.
