The top seeds Yana Sizikova & Aldila Sutjiadi take on the second-seeded team of Mayar Sherif & Tamara Zidansek in the doubles final at the Copa LP Chile on Saturday.

The Russian-Indonesian duo began their campaign with a brilliant come-from-behind victory against the team of Quinn Gleason and Elixane Lechemia. Sizikova and Sutjiadi won the match 6-7 (3-7), 6-3, 10-2. In the quarterfinals, they were up against Danka Kovinic and Alexa Guarachi, who pulled out prior to the match.
In the semifinals, Sizikova and Sutjiadi faced the American duo of Ingrid Neel and Jessie Aney. This match turned out to be a humdinger. Both teams played some scintillating tennis but in the end, Sizikova and Sutjiadi came out with a win in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 10-8.
Mayar Sherif & Tamara Zidansek
The Egyptian athlete has made it to the semifinals of the singles event as well. She will face Caroline Dolehide for a spot in the finals prior to the doubles match. Zidansek was ousted in the round of 16 by Kateryna Baindl.
Sherif and Zidansek had a comprehensive start to their doubles campaign. They defeated Sara Bejlek and Ipek Oz in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. In the quarterfinals, they got the better of the French duo of Marine Partaud and Clara Burel in straight sets 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. The domination continued in the semis as well. Sherif and Zidansek made light work of Jang Su-jeong and Whitney Osuigwe and won the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

Mayar Sherif and Tamara Zidansek have looked quite convincing in their matches so far. They will be the favorites to win the match but expect it to be a close one.
