Coronation of Charles III and Camilla: How to watch, streaming details, time and more

Published by

Today, the United Kingdom will witness the formal coronation of Charles III, marking a highly anticipated and extensively televised event. The grand ceremony will encompass processions, blessings, a formal crowning, and a concert, with the media diligently covering every aspect, from attendees to seating arrangements. Prince Harry, despite the recent release of his critical memoir “Spare,” is anticipated to attend the coronation unaccompanied by Meghan Markle.

The highly anticipated coronation will be broadcast live on BBC this Saturday, May 6, commencing at 11 a.m. in London or 6 a.m. Eastern Time. Expected to be a lengthy affair, the ceremony is projected to span several hours, allowing viewers worldwide to witness this historic event.

The King’s Procession is a notable event where Charles and Queen Consort Camilla ride to Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, pulled by six Windsor Grey horses. They will later switch to a new carriage with eight horses and parade through historic London sites.

The formal ceremony will occur at Buckingham Palace, attended by members of the royal family, Church of England representatives, and global leaders. Although no celebrities are expected at the formal ceremony, a coronation concert on May 7 will feature renowned artists like Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings, and Take That. The concert will be live-streamed on significant platforms and broadcast live on BBC.
