Cory Sandhagen made his debut on the 30th of May in 2015 in a promotion called FTW: Prize Fighting Championship. In 16 months’ time, he was already 5-0 up in his MMA career.

He then suffered his first-ever loss at Legacy Fighting Alliance, against Jamall Emmers. On the 27th of January, 2018 Sandhagen made his UFC debut, when he had a record of 7 wins and just one loss in his career.

Sandhagen faced Austin Arnett at UFC on Fox: Jacare vs Brunson 2, and won via. TKO in the second round.

He then went on a four-fight win streak, that included wins over Raphael Assuncao and John Lineker. This earned him a fight against top-ranked bantamweight Aljamain Sterling.

Sandhagen took on Sterling at UFC 250, but suffered a devastating submission loss to the Jamaican in the very first round.

However, he bounced back after that loss with wins over Marlon Moraes and Frankie Edgar.

More recently, Sandhagen was pegged back with another defeat, against the returning TJ Dillashaw. ‘The Sandman’ succumbed to a split-decision loss. His MMA record currently stands at 17 wins and 5 losses.
