Ahead of his main event duties at UFC Columbus, we take a look at the record of Curtis Blaydes and how many times has he been knocked out
This weekend’s UFC fight night features a clash between heavyweight contenders Curtis Blaydes and Chris Daukaus.
Curtis Blaydes is an NJCAA wrestler and won the national championship as a sophomore. His MMA game is built around his strong wrestling fundamentals. The number 4 ranked heavyweight contender has been on two four-fight win streaks, before succumbing to defeats against Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis that derailed his run for the title. He bounced back from his loss against Lewish with a unanimous decision victory over Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
His UFC record stands at 15 wins and 3 losses, with one no contest. Blaydes holds notable wins over big names in the heavyweight division like Alexander Volkov, Junior Dos Santos and Mark Hunt. Hailed by Khabib Nurmagomedov once as the brightest prospect, Blaydes will be looking forward to making a statement this weekend.
How many times has Curtis Blaydes been knocked out?
Curtis Blaydes has lost only three fights as a professional mixed martial artist. All of these losses have come via either KO or TKO.
His first loss came via TKO against the current heavyweight champion back in 2016. His second TKO loss came at the hands of ‘The Predator’ again in a rematch that took place in 2018.
Blaydes’ only KO loss came in 2021 against the knockout king Derrick Lewis.
