Disney just released a complete panel schedule for the 2022 D23 Expo so fans will have some kind of idea of what’s coming up. This year, the D23 Expo includes a lot of big announcements and reveals. D23’s biggest panel takes place on Saturday.
Producers and filmmakers from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios will take the stage on September 10th to discuss the big movies coming up in the next few years. In addition to the panels, there will also be discussions about upcoming Pixar movies, the Zootopia+ TV series, and The Santa Clauses. This year’s D23 promises plenty to be exciting. What happened in D23 on September 9
With Disney CEO Bob Chapek presenting at D23 Expo, Disney100 kicked off. There was an Inside Look at the Society of Explorers and Adventurers at Backlot Stage. The Disney Legends Ceremony recognized those visionaries and artists who have contributed greatly to the Disney legacy.
The Disney Animation & Pixar Showcase and Studio Showcase provided guests with exclusive details, first looks, sneak peeks, surprises, and announcements regarding upcoming theatrical and Disney+ releases from Disney Live Action, Pixar Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Animation Studios. Some of these studios’ most exciting titles were discussed onstage by studio heads, filmmakers, and cast members.
Brian Crosby, Marvel’s Director of Themed Entertainment, provided a step-by-step tuition session on how to sketch some of Marvel’s most renowned heroes and villains. There was also a discussion with the actors and creators of The Simpsons, a legendary show.
The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest, hosted by Nina West, featured special guests Yvette Nicole Brown, Ashley Eckstein, and Ally Maki as judges.
D23 Schedule for September 10
Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm & 20th Century Studios (10 am)
In Hall D23, representatives will present theatrical and Disney+ titles along with filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests. With exclusive footage from these studios’ highly anticipated films, specials, and series, attendees will get the inside scoop on what’s coming up next.
The Walt Disney Archives Stage will host a Peek Behind the Curtain at the Walt Disney Imagineering Illusions & Special Effects Development Lab.
Talkin’ Pets with the Vets of National Geographic (10:30am)
For a look behind the scenes of National Geographic’s popular series, join Dr. Pol and Diane, the Critter Fixer team of Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Geoff, Dr. Jen, and Rain from Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Back to the Grid: 40 Years of Tron (12 p.m)
At Backlot Stage, artists, filmmakers, and talent will be sharing behind-the-scenes details about how Tron came to life. There will be artwork, footage, and photographs of the digital frontier.
In addition, there will be the Uncovering Treasures from the Marty Sklar Collection at the Walt Disney Archives Stage
Marvel Draw Live! (1:30 p.m)
At the D23 Expo Live Stage, Marvel’s Director of Themed Entertainment Brian Crosby conducts a step-by-step demonstration on how to draw some of the most well-known heroes and villains.
Marvel Comics: Celebrating 60 Years of the Amazing Spider-Man (2:00 p.m)
Throughout the past sixty years, Spider-Man has been a sensation. Marvel’s Executive Spider-Editor Nick Lowe and Editor-in-Chief C.B Cebulski tracing the comics history of the web-head from 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15, he has wall-crawled his way to international super-stardom.
Disney’s Epic Entertainment Showcase (3:30 p.m)
A showcase of upcoming content will be presented by Disney Branded Television. It will feature talent appearances and never-before-seen sneak peeks at original Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior content, including the new Disney+ Originals National Treasure, American Born Chinese, and The Santa Claus.
A Celebration of Disney Animation’s Encanto (3:30 p.m)
The cast of the Academy Award-winning Walt Disney Animation Studios hit shares behind-the-scenes stories from the production, along with a few surprises.
FX’s AHS: Behind the Screams (4 p.m)
There will be a panel of producers, artists, and stylists from the show, who will discuss how they keep the show fresh after 11 episodes and an anthology spin-off. Panelists include Lou Eyrich, the show’s costume designer, and Eryn Krueger Mekash, the show’s makeup artist.
Zootopia+ Sneak Peek (6 p.m)
With directors Josie Trinidad and Trent Correy, we get a first look at Disney Animation’s newest animated series for Disney+.
Dancing with the Stars 31st Season Celebration (6 p.m)
The cast of the popular competition series celebrates 31 seasons of unforgettable performances, honourable choreography, and Mirrorball awards.

A Boundless Future: Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (10:30 am)
In this presentation, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro discusses what Disney Imagineers are working on at home, on the high seas, and around the world.
Disney+’s The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder (10:30 a.m)
A discussion on the acclaimed revival of the groundbreaking animated series The Proud Family and an inside look at the upcoming season with the cast and creative team takes place between the cast and creative team.
Walt Disney Imagineering: 70 Years of Making the Impossible, Possible (1 p.m)
Imagineers from the past and the present talk about the fundamentals of storytelling and innovation that allow visitors from all over the world to experience their dreams.
The Next Generation of National Geographic (3:45 p.m)
With breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife, exotic foods, epic challenges, and undercover storytelling, National Geographic’s newest stars will take viewers to the remotest and wildest places on Earth.
Disney Princess – The Concert Live at D23! (4:15 p.m)
Featuring Tony-nominated Susan Egan, Disney Concerts presents a special performance of Disney Princess. In the concert, the cast will perform favorites from Frozen and Disney Princess films, including “Part of Your World,” “Let It Go,” “A Whole New World,” “Colors of the Wind” and “Almost There.” Exclusive behind-the-scenes stories from the actors’ experiences on stage and on television will be shared by the performers.
Conversations with Disney Character Voices (6 p.m)
Character Voices’ SVP Rick Dempsey and a few very special guests take to the mic to tell stories and talk about their favorite characters.
