Disney just released a complete panel schedule for the 2022 D23 Expo so fans will have some kind of idea of what’s coming up. This year, the D23 Expo includes a lot of big announcements and reveals. D23’s biggest panel takes place on Saturday.
Producers and filmmakers from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios will take the stage on September 10th to discuss the big movies coming up in the next few years. With Disney CEO Bob Chapek presenting at D23 Expo, Disney100 kicked off. There was an Inside Look at the Society of Explorers and Adventurers at Backlot Stage. The Disney Legends Ceremony recognized those visionaries and artists who have contributed greatly to the Disney legacy.
The Disney Animation & Pixar Showcase and Studio Showcase provided guests with exclusive details, first looks, sneak peeks, surprises, and announcements regarding upcoming theatrical and Disney+ releases from Disney Live Action, Pixar Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Animation Studios. Some of these studios’ most exciting titles were discussed onstage by studio heads, filmmakers, and cast members.
Brian Crosby, Marvel’s Director of Themed Entertainment, provided a step-by-step tuition session on how to sketch some of Marvel’s most renowned heroes and villains. There was also a discussion with the actors and creators of The Simpsons, a legendary show.
The Ultimate Disney Costume Contest, hosted by Nina West, featured special guests Yvette Nicole Brown, Ashley Eckstein, and Ally Maki as judges.
In Hall D23, representatives will present theatrical and Disney+ titles along with filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests. With exclusive footage from these studios’ highly anticipated films, specials, and series, attendees will get the inside scoop on what’s coming up next.
The Walt Disney Archives Stage will host a Peek Behind the Curtain at the Walt Disney Imagineering Illusions & Special Effects Development Lab.
For a look behind the scenes of National Geographic’s popular series, join Dr. Pol and Diane, the Critter Fixer team of Dr. Vernard Hodges and Dr. Geoff, Dr. Jen, and Rain from Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
