Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a retired NASCAR driver and the son of former legendary racer Dale Earnhardt who won 7 championships in the Cup Series. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is now a broadcaster on TNT Sports. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Car Collections

Before making his full-time debut in the Cup Series, Dale Earnhardt Jr. participated in the 1996 Busch series for his father’s racing team, Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 1999 for his father’s team again. Throughout his NASCAR career, he drove Chevrolet vehicles. He drove premium Chevrolet vehicles including his father’s cars. Some of Dale Earnhardt Jr’s race cars were Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Monte, and Chevrolet SS with the main sponsor from Budweiser. He also drove some races in Chevrolet models like Camaro and Corvette.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. also has a big personal car collection. His collections include a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro, 1976 Chevrolet Laguna, 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, 1988 Chevy S-10 Pickup, 1977 Oldsmobile 442, 1984 Chevrolet Nova, and 1985 Chevrolet Blazer Wrangler Edition. He also owned the Holden VE Commodore vehicle.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Car Accidents

In the 2004 American Le Mans Series (ALMS), Earnhardt Jr. suffered a major accident. During the warm-up, his Chevrolet Corvette lost control and hit the barrier. The fuel line was damaged and flames started coming out. Earnhardt was rescued, but he suffered  second and third degree burns on his neck, chest, and legs. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was involved in a crash in the 2016 Sprint Unlimited race. His car was damaged by Brian Vickers’ vehicle on lap 23 and Earnhardt lost the race.

In 2015, he lost another race at Martinsville because of a small crash. Earnhardt’s car’s tire burst and the front side of the car was destroyed. Dale Earnhardt Jr. suffered concussion symptoms in a race in 2012 at Kansas Speedway. His #88 Chevrolet made contact with other vehicles and his head was hit hard. Dale Earnhardt Jr. missed two races after suffering a concussion. In the 2017 Coke Zero 400, Earnhardt Jr’s vehicle spun into Kevin Harvick’s car and lost the event. This was one of his last races in NASCAR.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s primary car numbers in NASCAR were #8 and #88. He won the 2014 Daytona 500 for Hendrick Motorsports in his #88 Chevrolet SS. In 2004, he secured the Daytona 500 race in the #8 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for his father’s team. In the NASCAR Busch series, Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove Chevrolet vehicles with numbers like #87, #3, #7, #31, and #5. In 2010, he drove the #3 Chevrolet Impala. The Blue and Yellow car had sponsors from Wrangler and Nilla. His Monte Carlo SS car had sponsors from Sharpie, Budweiser, Menards, and more brands.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. also participated in the International Race of Champions twice. He drove #8 Pontiac cars in the 1999 and 2000 seasons. In 2008, Dale Earnhardt Jr. participated in the Busch Series in his #83 Navy Chevrolet. The Orange and White car had paint schemes from Good Year, Moog, and 3M. In the 2013 STP Gas Booster 500 race, he drove the #88 Chevrolet SS sponsored by Diet Mountain Dew.
