Dale Jarrett’s first vehicle before the Cup Series was a Chevrolet Nova. He drove this 1968 model in the Limited Sportsman Division in 1977 before making his debut in the Cup series. Jarrett debuted in the 1984 NASCAR cup series with a Chevrolet car for Zervakis Enterprises and Pontiac for Jimmy Means Racing. In the following seasons, he drove Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars. In 1995, Dale Jarrett moved to the Robert Yates Racing team and competed in his Ford Taurus. Jarrett won the 1999 NASCAR Cup Series title for the same team in Ford Thunderbird.

Dale Jarrett suffered minor car crashes throughout his NASCAR career. He didn’t experience any major incidents which ruined his career. In 1994, Dale Jarrett participated in the Brickyard 400 event. Jarrett suffered a crash after Geoff Bodine’s car spun before his vehicle. Dale Jarrett didn’t suffer a big injury, but he couldn’t win the event and was out of action for some days.
