Recently named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, Lillard’s body is a piece of art. In addition to his skills and fashion sense, Damian Lillard is also famous for his legendary tattoos.

Throughout the years, 31-year-old Lillard has collected quite a few ink pieces on his skin. Each of his tattoos carries a message or has a special significance. In total, Damian Lillard has more than fifteen tattoos and let us know the story behind all these inks.

1. Scripture on his Left Arm

The tattoo on Dame’s left arm denotes the scripture, taken from Psalm 37, written from his shoulder to his bicep.

The tattoo on his left arm has the entire passage from The Bible. The passage reads,

“1 Do not fret because of those who are evil

    or be envious of those who do wrong;

2 for like the grass they will soon wither,

    like green plants they will soon die away.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;

2. Chest tattoo

Dame reportedly got this tattoo on June 22, 2013. Lillard got the ink which consists of a heart through which the branches are expanding upside forming the word ‘Oakland’ along with the words ‘Heart of the City’ inked on his chest. Lillard debuted the tattoo for the first time through an Instagram post.

3. Tattoo of his mother’s name

The left-hand inner side bicep of Damian Lillard has a tattoo of the first name of his mother, ‘Gina’ surrounded by clouds inked on it.

4. Tattoo of his sister’s name

The right-hand inner side bicep of Damian Lillard has a tattoo that reads “La Nae” in designer font accompanied by numerous stars inked on it. The tattoo denotes the name of his sister, La’nae.

5. Family Arm tattoo

The left forearm of Lillard is complete with portraits of the people who raised him and plays a big role in his life. These Damian Lillard tattoos include his grandmother, his grandfather, his mother, and his father along with the tattoo of his beloved uncle.

6. Jersey number ‘0’ of Damian Lillard

The left upper arm of Lillard has the numerical, “0” inked on it. It represents his jersey number and it also stands for his hometown of Oakland.

7. ‘Forever Blessed’ basketball themed tattoo

The right arm of Damian Lillard has a tattoo of a basketball with designs and banners around it that say, “FOREVER BLESSED”.

8. Damian Lillard’s First Tattoo

At the age of 18, Lillard got his first tattoo. Notably, his mother only allowed him to get only one tattoo after he had graduated from high school.

Lillard’s first tattoo is a dedication to the bond he has with his brother, Houston Lillard. The tattoo reads ‘LB’, short for Lillard Brothers, in the same fashion as Warner Brothers‘ famous WB logo.

9. Oakland Raiders (Las Vegas Raiders) logo tattoo

The inner side of Damian Lillard’s right arm has a tattoo of a logo of Oakland Raiders (Las Vegas Raiders) inked on it.

10. ‘Certified Fly Guy’ tattoo

This tattoo is present in Lillard’s right arm bicep. The tattoo is an insignia marked ‘CF’ which Damian says stands for ‘Certified Fly Guy.’ Around the letters are a set of wings as well.

11. ‘Jungle Boy’ tattoo

Lillard has a tattoo with the words ‘JUNGLE BOY’ inked near the elbow of his right arm.

The Blazers point guard has a tattoo of a sign and a red-colored ribbon inked near the inner wrist of his right arm.

13. The Dame Time Tattoo

The right forearm of Lillard has a tattoo of a pocket watch with the words, “LILLARD TIME” written inside it. The clock shows a few minutes to 5.

This tattoo denotes the famous ‘Dame Time’ invented by Lillard himself. The tattoo is a testament to the clutch mode displayed by Lillard during the late minutes of a game.

At the right side of Lillard’s back, there is a five-pointed big star tattoo that consists of phrases from the Holy Bible.

17. Lillard’s Homage to Oakland PGs

On the backsides of both of Lillard’s arms, he had two torches inked with his name on it.

The torch is labeled with Oakland PGs, which pays tribute to the other great point guards who came out of Oakland, California.

Guys like Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, and Brian Shaw are just a few guards who, like Dame, came out from the area.
