Dan Evans was born on the 23rd of May in 1990. The Birmingham-based man turned pro in 2006, when he was just 16. He found his calling during his time at Loughborough University, prior to which he had shown immense interest in squash.

Evans had a slow start to his career. It was only during the mid 2010s, his career picked up steam. He represented the Great Britain team which won the Davis Cup in 2015.

And, in 2016 he made it to the third round of the Wimbledon, and finally broke into the top 50 of the ATP rankings after a decent showing at the 2017 Australian Open.

He is now currently ranked number 178 in the world.

2018 was quite a disappointing year for Evans, as he slipped out of the top 1000. He then made a resolute comeback, and there was a strong upward surge in his rankings since then.

He is currently ranked number 24, which happens to be his career best, thanks to his recent upset of Novak Djokovic at Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Despite coming up decent at Grand Slams, Evans has just one career title to his name, despite turning pro, way back in 2006.

His first and only title win came at the recently concluded Melbourne Murray River Open in February this year. He defeated favourite Felix Auger Aliassime in the final to hit the jackpot.

Dan Evans was sponsored by Nike until 2017. He ran out of contract with Nike, and the company did not renew his contract. But he found a new sponsor pretty quickly in Japan-based manufacturer Yoxoi. HaloITSM, Wilson, and Asics are his main endorsement deals. Dan Evans has earned more than $2m through Endorsements.

His contract with Yoxoi ran out in 2019, and that’s when Evans was left without a clothing sponsor. A year later British clothing brank LUKE partnered with Evans.
