UFC President Dana White sat down with Jake Paul’s brother for an episode of ‘Impaulsive with Logan Paul’, and addressed the younger brother’s callout for a fight against Conor Mcgregor
UFC chief Dana White sat down with the older brother of Jake Paul, Logan for an episode of the ‘Impaulsive with Logan Paul’. Jake has been on a rampage against the UFC and Dana White, even releasing a diss track aimed at the top brass of the UFC.
Jake Paul has been calling out for a fight against UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor for quite some time now- even suggesting a tempting one-off deal inside the octagon with win-or-bust stakes. The question of this fight was sure to pop-up and Dana had his riposte ready.
“Well, he shouldn’t even be fighting Conor McGregor,” White said. “These guys [the Pauls] are f huge. [Logan] is huge, his brother [Jake] is huge. What’s your brother, 6-foot-1, 210 [pounds]? Conor McGregor is 145, 155 pounds. … There’s weight classes for a reason.
“Do you think [Jake] could make ‘70?” White probed Logan.
“I don’t think so,” Logan Paul replied.
“Yeah, exactly. And it’s a stretch for Conor to fight at 170. He fought Nate [Diaz] at ‘70, that isn’t his f weight class, not even close.”
Jake was quick to react to this claim by White on Twitter and said,
“Dana White is begging for Diaz and Conor to fight for a third time. They have fought at 170 pounds in both their fights. I will fight Conor at 175 pounds, no problem. Stop making excuses p***y.”
Dana White has been handed a golden opportunity by Paul, which involves a bet. And should the Youtuber turned boxer fail, White and the UFC can be assured that it will be the last they hear of him. ‘
Jake Paul wants a kick at the can to fight Conor McGregor in a one-off deal, and also expressed his willingness to step inside the UFC octagon. He tweeted out an offer to the head honcho of the organization and said,
‘Dana – Since you like me now, how about a 1 fight UFC deal to fight Conor.
If I win, you agree to my UFC fighter pay and healthcare proposal.
If I lose I donate my entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50K a fight and never mention UFC again Deal?
If Paul has his integrity in place, the deal is actually quite fair, given that in any possible outcome is is the fighters that will benefit from it. Do you think the UFC will accept this challenge from the ‘Problem Child’ ?
