UFC President Dana White claimed that Darren Till is ready for his next fight and it could be coming soon.
The president was speaking on The Mac Life on Tuesday and White claimed that Till could feature in one of two shows.
UFC 248 in Las Vegas is one option, according to White, while the other one is a UFC event in London (h/t MMA Junkie):
“We’ve been talking to him and bouncing around with different opponents,” White said. “We’ll have something for him very soon. … It’ll either be London or Vegas.”
White was then asked about who Till could face. The president didn’t want to give away the Englishman’s opponent but was open in saying that he might not face Jack Hermansson.
“Probably not (against Hermansson),” White said. “We’ll see how this thing plays out. Yeah, (it’ll be) one of the top guys.”
The event in London is set to be held on 21 March and there is no headline fight for the card. UFC 248 in Las Vegas will take place on 7 March, but again, no headline fight has been confirmed for this event too.
The Liverpudlian has a record of 18 wins and two losses with one no-decision so far in his career.
Till was 17-0-1 till 2018 but has lost two of his last three fights. He did get back to winning ways at UFC 244 by beating Kevin Gastelum, and it will be interesting to see who he might face in the future.
Who is Claressa Shields? The Boxer than Amanda Nunes could face in next fight
Who is Colby Covington? The Donald Trump supporter that got his jaw broken at UFC 245
Till hasn’t won any UFC titles but is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the promotion.
