The UFC would be nothing without the help of its president Dana White and the American now has a huge net worth thanks to the rise in popularity of the promotion.
White has been the president of the UFC for almost the entirety of its existence and he has taken the promotion from obscurity to becoming one of the biggest moneymakers in sports.
Several champions have come through the industry and White has been able to cement deals with the likes of ESPN to ensure the UFC stays the top brand in MMA across the world.
The 50-year-old was born in Manchester, Connecticut and did a little bit of boxing during his college days.
White attended the Bishop Gorman High School where he made one important friend, Lorenzo Fertitta, but that will be dealt with later.
The American has a sister too and started initially working as a manager for former UFC stars Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.
White was instrumental in the deal which saw the UFC being sold to a company that was named as Zuffa inc, with Fertitta becoming the CEO of the promotion.
Things improved for the UFC over the years thanks to the work put in by White, and he was again key in selling the new company to WME-IMG for $4.025 billion.
When Dana White got hold of the stake of UFC hasn’t been confirmed but his role in helping WME-IMG buy the promotion cannot be overlooked.
The UFC itself is also worth a lot with some reports suggesting a net worth of $4billion. WME-IMG are the owners of the UFC, who are now known as Endeavour.
However, Forbes even ran with a story where White claimed that the UFC was worth $7billion.

The 53-year-old has amassed a huge fortune thanks to his great work for the UFC and reports suggest that his net worth is close to $500million as of 2023.
The UFC president is also one of the few people who conduct interviews in the Octagon after a fight, and his promotion work before fights gets things really interesting.
That net worth will only increase with more time as White should remain president of the UFC for a few more years.
The UFC president is certainly rich now thanks to his hard work and some reports claim his salary is around $20million in 2023.
Dana White wife, family and kids
White’s parents, June and Dana, seem to have had their run-ins with the UFC promoter.
His mother, June, came out with a book in 2011 called “Dana White, King of MMA: An Unauthorized Biography” and claimed that her son had turned his back on the family and his friends too.
She even claimed that he had been cheating on his wife, Anne, with a couple of UFC ring girls.
The UFC president met his wife when they were in the eighth grade and married in 1996. White has one daughter named Savannah and two sons, Dana III and Aidan.
There isn’t a lot known about his wife and kids with White ensuring their privacy isn’t breached, however, he is regularly seen socialising with the biggest stars from across the world.
White lives in Pine Island Court, Las Vegas and has bought several mansions worth millions of dollars.
The UFC president does have some problems as he confirmed that he was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease but is undergoing treatment to deal with the symptoms.
On the 31st of December, 2022, White was involved in slapping his wife Anne. The incident became viral, and White immediately issued an apology.
