- S Tier – S Tier classes are arguably the best. They are powerful tanks with impeccable skills. S Tier classes are good in everything including attacking, defense and strength.
- A Tier – A Tier class includes the strongest attackers and defensive heroes of Darktide. With special skills and traits, these units can be your trump card
- B Tier – B tier heroes have the best stats and skills. These units have high strength, finesse and mobility
- C Tier – Units from this tier list are vulnerable to all types of damage. They lack strength and knowledge. You can ignore it straight away

Classes function in a unique way. One class has magical powers, one has the best defense and it goes in a similar way. Every class works well with different sets of weapons and skills. - Zealot – The Preacher type class in Darktide. Zealot has two main abilities and they are Fury of the Faithful and Chastise the Wicked. These two traits can be used to replenish toughness. Zealot Stun Grenade, Benediction and Blades of Faith as its traits. You can electrocute enemies and stun them for a short time. Use melee weapons like Chainswords or Duelling Swords.
- Veteran – The Sharpshooter class in Darktide is strong in attacking. Veterans get access to all types of weapons. Veteran’s primary ability is Volley Fire. You can unlock the Volley Fire ability and its perks at level 30+. Volley Fire reduces toughness and increases resistance. Swords and Plasma guns are primary weapons. Veteran class units are stronger in range and can be your primary damage dealer.
- Ogryn – Orgyn, the Skullbreaker class is a massive tank. They can attack from any range. The Indomitable and Bull Rush abilities make Skullbreaker even stronger. Bombs Way, the primary blitz training can be used to explode nearby enemies. Ogryn has the best crowd control effects. The best weapons for Ogryn are Cleaver, Shovels and Grenades.
- Psyker – Psykinetic excels in short range battles. It has two powerful abilities Venting Shark and Psykinetic’s Wrath and these can be used to detonate enemies with Warp energy. The Blitz trait, Brain Burst will double your damage powers. Lasgun, Shotguns and Force Swords are the best starting weapons for this class.
