Picked 109th overall, Bakhtiari wasn’t an outright superstar right from the start. The Green Bay Packers soon discovered that they had found a gem when he started to show out on the field. Bakhtiari won twice against Pro Bowl Linebacker Clay Matthews in his rookie campaign, recording 4-0-1 on the left side and a 3-1 mark on the right side. After Bryan Bulaga went down to an ACL injury, Bakhtiari was handed the reigns to start every game at left tackle.
He became the first rookie to do so in Green Bay, forcing the franchise to move Bulga to right tackle. In 2020, Bakhtiari tore his ACL and was subsequently ruled out for the season.
