David Maurice Robinson a.k.a David Robinson was the Round 1, 1st overall draft pick by the San Antonio Spurs in 1987. Robinson played in the position of Center and is a two-time NBA champion (1999, 2003).
Robinson played college basketball for the United States Naval Academy. During his time, Robinson was one of the best college basketball players.
Upon college graduation, Robinson became eligible for the 1987 NBA draft and was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the first overall pick. However, Robinson had to wait two years before playing in the NBA because he had to fulfill his active-duty obligation with the Navy.
