Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Lunar Event in Dead By Daylight. Find out all the details right here.
With its roster of original creations as well as characters borrowed from well-known horror franchises, Dead by Daylight has grown in popularity. Streamers love Behavior Interactive’s game, with a slew of prominent celebrities surviving with others or hunting gamers as one of the game’s many killers. The studio is also eager to keep things moving forward with regular updates and events, and it appears that this year’s Lunar event will begin this week.
There’s a lot to look forward to in the first quarter of this year for Dead by Daylight enthusiasts. While Chapter 22.5 does not introduce a new killer or survivor, the Ringu DLC crossover, which will be released in March, will do so with new faces. Everyone is looking forward to the J-horror cooperation, but we will be able to enjoy the start of the year of the tiger first.
Dead By Daylight Lunar Event: Start Date
The Lunar New Year event from Dead by Daylight is back! As we enter the Year of the Tiger, Dead by Daylight’s yearly festival offers even more goods and challenges. It’s the Tiger’s turn, so you know it’ll be a fight to the finish.
Lurking Stripes is the name of the event, which will begin on January 25 and last for two weeks, ending on February 8. This means that both old and new players will have ample opportunity to explore all of the event’s new features.
Dead By Daylight: Rewards
The list of rewards won’t be disclosed until the event begins on the 25th, so we don’t know exactly what to expect. However, previous events offer us a good sense of what to expect. Players that took part in the Blood Chill event will recall the Snowmen and how they had to engage with them in order to earn Blood Points. Red Envelopes appear to be the thing you open in Lurking Stripes if you want extras.
Players will be able to either reveal or open these envelopes, according to DBD Leaks, and they will include cosmetics. Furthermore, Chinese Firecrackers and a Toolbox will be available through Bloodweb and chests. We don’t know all of the gifts that will be unlocked through red envelopes, but a tiger shirt for Jade appears to be one of them. This is demonstrated in the trailer. In addition to all of the above, themed generators and hooks should be available, just as they were in 2021. Cosmetics from prior Chinese New Year festivities should also be available.
In the event’s launch trailer players got a glimpse at a few of those potential rewards:
- Red and gold tiger print shirt (Jane Romero)
- Yellow and black tiger print pants (David King)
- New clown mask (The Clown/Kenneth Chase)
- Lunar-themed dress (The Nurse/Sally Smithson)
- Lunar-themed dress (The Artist/Carmina Mora)
- New cleaver (The Trapper/Evan MacMillan)
