Watford vs Wolverhampton Wanderers predictions: Watford Line-up

Watford will aim to book a place in the FA Cup final when they lock horns with Wolves on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium.

The Hornets defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the competition last month and have a good opportunity to go all the way to win the FA Cup. But they are up against an exciting Wolves side, which defeated Manchester United in the last round.

It’s expected to be a thrilling battle at Wembley between two tactically astute managers.

Team News

Tom Cleverley is a doubt to face Wolves but Isaac Succees will be fit to make the squad on Sunday.

Roberto Pereyra was withdrawn off the Fulham game due to a hip injury but he is expected to be fit ahead of the game.

Probable Watford XI

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Manager: Javi Gracia

Ben Foster (GK)

Gomes has done exceptionally well in the FA Cup until now this season but given the importance of the game, Foster could don the gloves at the weekend.

Kiko Femenia (RB)

A pacey and aggressive full-back, Femenia could get the nod ahead of Janmaat against Wolves.

Adrian Mariappa (CB)

Mariappa has looked alongside Cathcart at the heart of the Hornets defence. He will retain his place in the team.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Cathcart has performed extremely well this season under Gracia. He is one of the team’s main man at the back.

Pereyra has thrived in a free role this season, allowing him to play his own game without any pressure. He will be raring to make a mark in the FA Cup semi-final clash against Wolves.

Troy Deeney (LS)

The onus will be on the skipper to lead his team from the front. Deeney will look to do everything possible to help the Hornets reach the finals of the competition.

Gerard Deulofeu (RS)

His burst of pace, trickery and unpredictability in movement could cause Wolves problems. Nuno’s defenders have to be at their best to stop the pacey Spaniard.
