Cacok was initially playing football during his childhood days. But an injury in his wrist during his 8th grade made him shift to basketball. Initially, he was not that good at playing basketball but he practised well after joining as a sophomore at Alpharetta High School. At the end of his senior year, Cacok averaged 22 points with 12 rebounds per game and helped his team to win the regional title.
On seeing his performance, Cacok received various scholarships from different colleges but he chose UNC Wilmington by rejecting the offers from other colleges. He did not get many opportunities during his freshman year but as a sophomore, Cacok averaged 12.2 points with 9.8 rebounds per game. He also made 40 blocks in total during his sophomore year and he set a record.
In a match against the College of Charleston, Cacok scored a massive 29 points with 17 rebounds. At the end of his junior year, he averaged 17.8 points per game. At the end of his senior year, he decided to enter the 2019 NBA draft. With lots of expectations, he entered the draft but he was left undrafted. Later he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers to play for them in the 2019 NBA Summer League.
On seeing his performance, the Lakers offered him a two-way contract and obviously, he accepted it. Cacok was a part of the 2020 NBA finals. On October 16, he was waived by the Lakers and signed a two-way contract with him. After some time, his two-way contract was turned into a standard contract. As of now, he is playing for the Motor City Cruise and everything is going well for him with the Cruise.
