Diablo II is an action role-playing hack-and-slash PC game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The game was released in 2000, 3 years after the success of the first game. Blizzard also released an expansion pack in 2001 called Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Diablo II is hailed as the best game of the genre. It has a dark fantasy and horror theme where the player has to fight the monsters bosses sent by the antagonist of the game, Diablo. Blizzard Entertainment has announced a remaster of the game called as Diablo II: Resurrected. Here is everything that you need to know.

Diablo II: Resurrected

This will be a complete remaster of the original games with only a few changes. The developers want to bring back the game for a new audience with modern graphics and gameplay. You can pursue the Dark Wanderer and fight the monsters from Hell in 4K resolution. The game will also include the content of the expansion pack, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Since the game is releasing on multiple platforms, Blizzard Entertainment has also announced cross-saving and cross-progression.

Unlike the original game, the remaster is also releasing on consoles. The game will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Except for the Nintendo Switch, you can pre-purchase the game for the other platforms right now.

Release Date

The game will release worldwide on September 23. There has been some speculation that the release date of the game will be delayed due to the ongoing Blizzard controversy. You can also pre-purchase the game right now.

If you pre-purchase the game you will be able to get early beta access and try out the game. The pre-purchase is currently only available for PC, Xbox consoles and PlayStation consoles. It is not available for the Nintendo Switch. 

Fans are eagerly waiting for the remaster of this classic game. It will release worldwide for PC and consoles on September 23.
