Farming legendary items in Diablo 4 has never been easy. Be it legendary weapons or legendary aspects like Vigorous, players have to complete dungeons as a requirement. There have been hundreds of dungeons in the sanctuary. Some dungeons like Hoarfrost Demise or Derelict Lodge have always been tricky challenges, but with the right strategies you can beat these tricky challenges.
Fractured Peaks has several dungeons. Here, you can play in the Maulwood dungeon to unlock the Slaking Legendary Aspect as your reward. Legendary Aspects are unique stats that either boost your defense or increase your damage stats. All classes in Diablo 4 can unlock legendary aspects right from Act 1. Slaking Aspect is exclusive to Barbarians.
Maulwood Dungeon doesn’t have a boss battle challenge and this can be a relief for those players with limited accessories, yet there are many small tasks and some can be complicated. It has a couple of objectives that will test your skills and patience. Here is more about the Maulwood dungeon in Diablo 4 and ways to complete every single task here.
Travel towards the southern part of Dobrev Taiga in Fractured Peaks to reach this location. Play this dungeon only if you have crossed level 36 or more. Playing at below 36 levels can be very difficult. You can go from the waypoint that’s located far east of Margrav to land in the dungeon. The other way is to reach from the southeast of Kyovashad.
Maulwood is a magical dungeon and here new types of enemies like Bandits and Wood Wraiths spawn. Also, some Wild Life creatures have been found often here in this dungeon.
Watch out for Wood Wraiths’ attacks that also stun nearby targets. Clear bunch of elite enemies inside the first zone. Then walk further for the next challenge against the Firebrand. This is a powerful creature that attacks ferociously. You have to be tentative of its moves.
Firebrand spawns at the next area and you have to overcome its mace attacks and projectiles. Shoot it with a one-handed ranged weapon and use the freeze effects frequently. Once you clear the Firebrand, prepare for another mini-boss fight against small creatures called Bandit Sentries.
Bandit Sentries wander everywhere inside the dungeon, but you can only defeat them after completing previous objectives. You have to search for them in every zone and they will spawn in secret rooms mostly. Sentries thrive with their Freeze and Fear attacks primarily. You can use fire elemental skills against these enemies. Also, any one-handed weapon will be effective. Clear and slay all three bandit sentries and get to the next zone. Now, you have to beat the skeletal structures. Also, there will be many monsters around the zone.
These elite monsters will keep spawning every second and you have to use your best weapons to shoot these bunch of mini creatures. Use a weapon that has the best skill to challenge multiple mobs. You can dodge attacks and unleash kiting techniques as well. Also, use crowd control status effects and ailments like freeze, stun and immobilize. These can be highly effective against the Skeletal Constructs.
Slay every monster that intrudes your way and enter the second area, Skeletal Rise. Again, some more skeletal constructs spawn inside the zone. Go with the same strategy and defeat them. The entire challenge will be done once you destroy all mobs inside the dungeon. Along with a few legendary drops and gold, you can claim the Slaking Aspect as well.
