It’s like a homecoming for the Demon Hunter class as they are the perfect PvE, PvP class for solo dungeon raiders. It has moderate mobility and high damage output. They are best for single-target shredding, so easier boss runs, dungeon, and solo farming mobs. Needless to say, they are a must in a party, with a little tank support they can make every dungeon run worth your time. So let’s start with the tips and tricks on how to play with Demon Hunter in our Diablo Immortal Guide.

Demon Hunter Diablo Immortal

Strengths

It chonks down mobs using its dual crossbow loadout. Since it has the passive ability to move while shooting you can use it in dealing damage while constantly repositioning yourself from harms way. Demon Hunter can simultaneously use Vengeance and Rain of Vengeance becoming the highest single target damage dealer in Diablo Immortal.

Weakness

Its weakness is very evident as a high single target damage dealer it can have a hard time churning through endless waves of monsters. It only has one escape ability and overall slow movement. We have tried to minimize these weaknesses by building items that make its strong points strong enough to overcome those weaknesses.

Best Ability Set

Abilities – Crossbow shot, Knockback Shot, Multishot, Rain of Vengeance, and Daring Swing

Abilities need to be switched around according to your character’s level, environment levels, and types of mob you will be facing.

Crossbow Shot is the basic attack ability that unleashes as the ultimate when fully charged and releases volley of crossbow shots. Knockback Shot pushed enemies back and enemies knocked into obstacles will be stunned for 3 secs. The multi-shot is a burst damage ability dealing damage to all nearby enemies with upto 3 charges. Then there is the Rain of Vengeance which rains down arrows for 4 secs in a prescribed area. This is a huge AOE damage dealer and one of the most important abilities of Demon Hunter.

And finally Strafe, this ability like the barbarian spin allows the Demon Hunter to spin rapidly while firing arrows and move at a reduced speed. Shooting and damaging in all directions per hit. Although it is a decent ability for early game content, this should not be used at higher levels.

Demon Hunter Gameplay

And once you hit Level 15 you switch out Strafe for daring swing. This is like a grapple gun shot to help the character swing around while dealing damage and avoiding getting hits from mobs. Since this ability has two charges making it the most important and useful mobility ability for the Demon Hunter Class.

After that at level 28 you can remove Knockback Shot for Sentry, Sentry summons a turret for 30 secs. It has 2 charges and you can only have 2 sentries up at a time. It is an auto-attacking turret that is the most useful ability a Demon Hunter can get. As a solo farmer, this is a great help.

Diablo Immortal Demon Hunter Guide: Legendary Gems

Use a lighting core gem with the off-hand Hungerer, this set will help crossbow shots pierce through the enemies. With Flamespite use the Power & Command gem, this will set your enemies on fire from multi-shot ability and after awakening, your multi-shot cooldown will be reduced.

Use Fervant Fang Gem on your leg armor, this gives vengeance increased damage and a 10% decrease in CD after awakening. You can add the Everlasting Torment on your shoulders, this buffs rain of vengeance by giving the enemies a frost effect and 10% CD reduction after awakening.

Ca’arsen’s Invigoration gem for your chest armor will give a 15% CD reduction for Vengeance and a further 10% CD after awakening. Use the Berserker’s Eye as this helps to prolong vengeance by 0.2 sec per kill max up to 2.4 seconds and a further 10% CD reduction on Vengeance after awakening.

The neck accessory with 3 gem slots helps strengthen the character by adding normal gems like aquamarine and ruby citrine. Hand armor also needs to have three gem slots, that would build up your resistance. Reforging Stones recommendations for Demon Hunter would be Vengeance Stone, Wildfire Stone, and Ravager Stone but these come in very late in the game.
