Thirteen by James Harden, is an upscale restaurant in Midtown, opened in late January 2021, with a VIP preview on July 20, 2021.
Plans for the restaurant, which is located at 1911 Bagby, were already in the work, long before Harden made it clear that he wanted to leave Houston. Even after the Rockets traded the NBA superstar to the Brooklyn Nets, the plans did not changed.
Chef Tobias Dorzon is in charge of the restaurant, having briefly played in the NFL before enrolling in culinary school and opening his own catering company and restaurants, including Miami’s Victory Restaurant & Lounge.
The menu is heavily focused on steak and seafood, which ranges from a 14-ounce New York strip to a 32-ounce dry-aged tomahawk.
The Sun Devil appetiser, named after Harden’s alma mater, Arizona State, and featuring fresh shucked oysters, cream collards, lump crab, garlic butter, and shaved parmesan, is the only other nod to Harden on the menu aside from the restaurant’s name, Thirteen by James Harden.
