Sean Strickland returns to action this weekend against Alex Pereira at UFC 276 – does the controversial star have a girlfriend?

One of the most controversial figures in the UFC today, Sean Strickland is known to overstep the mark very often. Although some might find his unvarnished personality appealing, others have found his hard-as-nails attitude quite insensitive.

Strickland began training in mixed martial arts at the age of 14 and turned professional at the age of 16. A former king of the cage middleweight champion, Strickland made his UFC debut at UFC 171 on March 15, 2014, facing Bubba McDaniel. Strickland won via rear-naked choke submission in the first round. He has fought in the welterweight and middleweight divisions inside the UFC.

Sean Strickland has never revealed anything about his marital or dating status. He is never seen outside or caught by the paparazzi with girls.

He did hilariously detail a love triangle tale involving him and former UFC bantamweight champion and MMA legend Dominick Cruz. He tweeted out saying, ‘“@DominickCruz took a girl from me once man about 12 years ago… It happens to all of us…”‘

Further detailing the incident he said, ‘“I was way too young to know how to handle that fine of a girl.. She was like a sports car man. I would have just crashed lol! Dom had that life experience, he knew how long to keep her around and when to trade-in lol!”

Sean Strickland’s Twitter account suspended following series of homophobic tweets

Sean Strickland who is well known to speak from the shoulder has emerged as quite a ‘Tweleb‘ in recent times. Apart from being entertaining inside the cage, Strickland is known for his obdurate and callous personality. However many have criticized his behavior and called him homophobic.

He often crosses the line when it comes to his hateful comments on the state of affairs, and matters of homosexuality.

In wake of the recent shooting at a school in Texas, he posted a tweet stating that it is cowardly to pull out a gun when confronted. He wrote, “‘I have a gun on me, you wouldn’t try to fight me,’ let me stop you there, I don’t try to fight anyone,” Strickland said. “If you run your mouth I give you an option to be a man and step up….If your go to is ‘grab my gun’ you’re a little bitch and the problem with the world. Pussy!!!”

He added, “I just gotta say countries that don’t have gun ownership [as] a human right really are pathetic,” Strickland said. “‘Germany hasn’t had a mass shooting’, ‘England doesn’t have mass shooting’, blah blah you also don’t have f**king men either so enjoy it you nutless trannies. That is all goodbye.”

The Twitter team had seen enough of these tirades and decided to act on it by suspending Sean Strickland’s account.
