Reyes made his debut against Jordan Powell in June 2017, winning via. a head kick KO in the very first round, which went viral quickly.
And, in no time, Reyes had earned himself a contract in the UFC, and in the same month he took on Joachim Christensen at UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs Lee, and won via. first round knockout again.
He slowly made a big name for himself in the UFC, and at UFC 247 he almost came close to defeating Jon Jones for the light-heavyweight title. He is now ranked number 3 in the light-heavyweight division.

He famously beat Chris Weidman who was making his light-heavyweight debut, with a devastating flurry of punches, winning in the first round. The win got him the Performance of the Night bonus.
Then came his eventful 2020, when he almost came inches close to beating the indomitable Jon Jones at UFC 247. This led him to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the light-heavyweight title, since Jones had relinquished his belt. But, Reyes succumbed to the Polish Power at UFC 253.
