Raymond Daniels vs Peter Stanonik was declared a no-contest after a horrible groin kick

Bellator 245 saw a horrible groin kick when Peter Stanonik and Raymond Daniels met.

MMA fights are often called off due to illegal shots or fighters not being able to continue for various reasons, and a similar call had to be taken in this one too.

This was the first fight on the main card and it featured two stars trying to make a name for themselves.

However, Stanonik was first hit with a spinning kick to the groin from his rival. Getting hit once is bad enough and Stanonik needed the entire time allotted to recover.

Stanonik had only gathered himself again and just a few seconds later, he was hit in the groin, again, by a spinning kick.

This time the Bellator star was in immense pain and was heard groaning. The referee had to call the fight off and with no fans in attendance, his distressing calls for help were there for all to hear.

No one likes getting hit in the groin and things seemed to be serious for Stanonik as the stretcher was called out to help the MMA star out.

Daniels showed off his kicking skills with some fantastic moves at the start, but even he might not have wanted something like this to happen to his opponent.

Reyes feels the pain

Most MMA stars would have been hit in the groin once in a while and some of them do wear cups. However, even a cup might not be able to keep the area safe when a ferocious hit is made.

UFC star Dominick Reyes was one of the first to respond to the painful-looking kick and he certainly did not enjoy seeing it one bit.

Hopefully, Stanonik didn’t pick up a serious injury and can return to action soon.
