Donovan Mitchell Jr. aka. Donovan Mitchell was the 2017, Round 1, 13th overall draft pick by the Denver Nuggets. Later, Mitchell was traded to the Utah Jazz. Mitchell plays in the position of Shooting guard and he is also the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion.
Mitchell played college basketball for the University of Louisville from 2015 to 2017. Mitchell had a decent college career and was subsequently named to the First-team All-ACC (2017).
After playing college basketball, Mitchell was selected thirteenth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. However, Mitchell was later traded to the Utah Jazz on the NBA Draft night itself.
On July 5, 2017, Mitchell signed a four-year rookie scale contract with the Jazz. Finally, on October 18, 2017, Mitchell made his NBA debut.
