Arsenal’s bleak and fragile defence succumbed to the ferocious attacking play that Marco Silva’s Everton side were able to produce today and they in turn, didn’t have any sort of forward impact despite having the works in terms of depth on the pitch.
Neither Pierre Emerick Aubameyang nor Mesut Ozil were able to get a grip on the game and their defence struggled to deal with the movement offered by the Toffees wingers. Henrikh Mkhitaryan was poor all through as surprise starter Mohamed Elneny was so horrendous that he was taken off at half-time.
