Draymond Green cannot stay away from people making bizarre claims about his Golden State Warriors. So, when former Portland Trail Blazers star Evan Turner decided to fire shots at the team’s dynasty stating that it was ‘lame,’ the former Defensive Player of the Year had some stern words.
Turner played for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2016 to 2019, and was one of the victims in the Western Conference who suffered from the wrath of Golden State Warriors who had the likes of Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala. In the very last season of the playoffs, the Warriors swept Trail Blazers in the WC Finals, safe to say Evan Turner seem to hold the grudge till date.
On the Point Forward Podcast with Andre Iguodala, Turner admitted to the feeling and went to call out the Warriors’ dynasty as ‘unfair’ and ‘lame.’
“Y’all won a lot of championships, but it was lame as f–k,” Turner said bluntly. When Andre Iguodala pointed out that the Warriors had just won a championship this past season, led by Steph Curry, Turner quickly responded. “That’s perfectly fine!” he said. “I’m talking about when you lame ass n––s did that for two or three straight years; that was lame as f–k.”
This is just the que Draymond Green required to hop onto the scene as he revealed his true feelings after hearing at the full podcast.
“Let me start by saying this is the only soundbite of this whole episode that I’ve heard,” Green said. “So. I have no context. Dominating is lame? This sounds like someone who got they ass kicked often! Good work fellas.”
