Dwight Howard has slammed Shaquille O’Neal for his disrespectful comments on the former NBA veteran plying his trade in Taiwan.
Dwight Howard has continued his incredible touch of form after joining the Taoyuan Leopards in the T1 League. After a first game that saw him put up an extraordinary tally of 38-25-9 on debut – the former NBA champion and basketball veteran continued his impressive performance with his second game plying his trade in the Taiwanese basketball league. Howard continues his incredible form as he racked up 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists in his second game for the Leopards.
The NBA veteran who won the Championship with the Lakers in 2020 looked in unbelievable touch as he continued from where he left off on his debut, impressing many in the basketball community – all but NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. Even though Howard has looked to be in incredible form over the past two games that he has played in a Taoyuan Leopards shirt, he has not impressed Shaquille O’Neal.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend said: ““He’s supposed to have 30 points playing against dudes 5’8”, this league reminds me of the Life Time Fitness league every Saturday when I go work out on Saturday” about Howard playing in the Taiwanese basketball league. It would be fair to say that Howard did not take too lightly to Shaquille O’Neal’s comments.
How did Dwight Howard respond to Shaquille O’Neal’s comments on his Taiwan stint?
The former Los Angeles Lakers star responded to O’Neal’s comments as he slammed the latter for his career since hanging his boots up.
Upon coming across Shaq’s comments, Howard hosted a live stream where he directly addressed the NBA Hall of Famer. Howard said: “The world is too big to hate on another man. I’ve never in my life hated on you as a man, as a basketball player, anything like that. Have I joked about or mimicked your voice, have I mimicked what I see on TV? Everybody does that, comedians do that, people do that all the time, and I do that all the time but I do not hate on people,” Howard said.
“I know I show love to everyone in the world. Stop hating. Do not disrespect my teammates and this league and these people in Taiwan like that,” he continued. “That is highly disrespectful and it’s hating. You’re too old to be hating. You’re too big to be hating. You’re supposed to be superman, the original Superman.”
