Francis Ngannou will next fight a comedian in a charity match
Francis Ngannou might have Stipe Miocic in his sight for his next match, however, he will try a different kind of clash soon.
The Cameroonian-French star is one of the biggest hitters in the MMA world and wants to win the UFC Heavyweight title.
Miocic defeated Daniel Cormier to keep the title at UFC 252. However, Ngannou already has his next fight planned.
Ngannou is set to fight Cameroonian comedian “Hoga” next for a charitable cause. Ngannou confirmed what the clash is all about on his Twitter handle too:
“Cameroonian comedian “Hoga” has challenged me to a charity match to benefit the Francis Ngannou Foundation, which provide refuge for the youth to forget their everyday challenges.”
The UFC star’s foundation has aimed to help children in his native country. Ngannou also runs a gym in Cameroon and this is another excellent initiative from the 33-year-old.
Ngannou’s clash against Hoga will take place on 29 August and will be shown on YouTube live. The social media update also added that this will be a boxing match and not an MMA one.
Ngannou also set up a GoFundMe account in hopes of raising $10,000 from this charity boxing match. The 33-year-old should be the favourite to win this clash and it will be interesting to see how things go for him.
Ngannou is a beast and most of his wins have come via knockout in the UFC. He did the same to Jairzinho Rozenstruik in his last fight, and he might have similar plans for Miocic too.
While Miocic vs Ngannou is a fight that most UFC fans want to see, some were concerned for Hoga.
Many UFC fans were scared for Hoga as he took on Ngannou and some even prayed for him to survive the onslaught:
