EA Sports is set to launch UFC 4 soon and here is all about the soundtrack, early access, full roster and more
UFC 4 is the latest game to be released by EA Sports and there is a lot of buzz regarding the latest instalment.
The last UFC game was released a couple of years back, and some of the greatest MMA fighters are included in this game.
EA Sports UFC is the definitive game for all MMA fans. And here is all you need to know about the title:
EA UFC 4 launches on 14 August 2020. However, the pre-order game is available from 8 August 2020 thanks to EA Access.
This is a regular feature for most games being launched and there are some great bonuses for early access.
The pre-order bonus for EA UFC 4 features two of the greatest boxers being unlocked straight away. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are available right from the get-go. Fans can also unlock the pair by completing the career mode, should they not pre-order the game.
Two venues are also available from the start in the pre-order with the backyard and Kumite arenas available.
The Kumite arena gives a feeling of Mortal Kombat while the backyard is a throwback to the old school days of street fighting.
EA UFC 4 will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One. There are no plans to release a new version for the next-generation consoles, however, the PS4 and Xbox One versions could be compatible with them.
EA could also take a different route and those who buy the digital version of EA UFC 4 would be able to upgrade to the PS5 version and so on.
The two cover athletes for UFC 4 are Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal. Adesanya is the current UFC Middleweight champion while Masvidal is the current BMF Champion.
EA haven’t released the entire roster yet but most of the top fighters in the UFC should be included in the game.
The EA Sports website has confirmed that the full roster will be revealed in due course. However, EA have confirmed who the top 50 stars are in their new star rating system.
Amanda Nunes is the highest-rated star across the game with Jon Jones second, Khabib Nurmagomedov third, Valentina Shevchenko fourth and retired UFC star Henry Cejudo fifth.
Adesanya, Weili Zhang, Stipe Miocic Georges St-Pierre and Kamaru Usman make up the top 10.
Conor McGregor is 20th while Daniel Cormier, Rose Namajunas, Justin Gaethje, Petr Yan and Jorge Masvidal are some of the others in the top 20:
Reports suggest that 250+ fighters will be available in the game, and more details will be shared once the game is out.
The UFC 4 soundtrack features 30 songs from a range of top artists. Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Run the Jewels, Stormzy, DJ Shadow and J Cole are just some of the names on the list.
EA has a history of putting up some great soundtracks on their games, and the EA UFC 4 one seems to have some amazing tracks.
EA have spoken a lot about their gameplay changes for this year’s game. Fluid Clinch Control is one aspect that they are harping on and it promises “more fluid and frequent clinch and break moments”.
The takedown system has also been overhauled with new animations for takedowns with a larger set of outcomes in these moves.
The game also brings in a new submission system, grapple assist, dynamic strike inputs, ground and pound and a lot more.
One of the biggest talking points is the Blitz Battles. This is a fast-paced mode where you face other fighters online.
“This fast-paced mode pits you against other fighters online, competing in a round-based rapid-fire tournament. A constant rotation of rulesets keeps the experience fresh and the competition hot.”
EA UFC 4 seems set to be the best and biggest MMA game released, and hopefully, the reviews are a knockout.
