Arsenal FC Opinion: Three realistic winger options that Arsenal should pursue

Arsenal’s season has been filled with ups and downs and while the bad vibes from surrounding the Emirates stadium from last season are now a thing of the past as under the able guidance of new manager Unai Emery, they’ve been given new life.

With some excellent use of the flanks and solid attacking ideologies being instilled into this Arsenal side, the potential that this team possesses is certain to be showcased in the coming seasons as long as Unai Emery is granted all his transfer market wishes.

While the additions of talented players like Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang have been inspired moves, there is still the need for a top quality winger within the Arsenal ranks considering that they are extremely short of depth in this department.

Here are three players that Arsenal should target in the upcoming summer transfer window:

Roberto Pereyra

The Watford sensation has been in fine form all campaign and his efforts have been rewarded with a very respectable total of 6 goals and 2 assists from his 27 league games so far this season.

His movement in and around the opposition box has been sublime this season and his dribbling has really come to fore too. He is capable of playing as a winger or as a number ten but either way, he will certainly add an edge to the Arsenal attack.

Julian Brandt

The German international winger is extremely highly rated and is valued at an equally high price. His potential is huge as at just 21, he is already proving his quality in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen.

Winner of the Confederations Cup with Germany, the speedster has scored 4 goals while setting up 10 from his 24 league appearances this season and these numbers would be gold for a club with strikers as good as Arsenal’s.

Mikel Oyarzabal

Probably not a household name, this Spanish prodigy plays for Real Sociedad in La Liga and at 21, has registered unbelievable numbers for a winger. He has scored 10 goals and got a further 2 assists from his 26 league games this season.

His movement and dribbling have been sublime while his excellent composure on the ball sets him apart from his counterparts. He has the right balance of strength and speed to excel in the Premier League and a move to Arsenal would be in the youngster’s best interest.
