Unai Emery’s men continued their winning run in the Premier League and worked their way into the top six with a 2-0 victory over Everton at the Emirates. Arsenal are currently on a high after enjoying a five-match winning streak across all competitions and they must aim to come away with an emphatic win when they face Brentford in the third round of the League Cup on Thursday.
Arsenal’s injury list seems to be increasing as the season progresses. Sokratis is the latest addition to the treatment table after he picked up a knee injury against Everton.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan continues his recovery from an ankle injury and will be out of action for at least another week while Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Laurent Koscielny and Sead Kolasinac are out with long-term injuries.

The new signing made his debut for Arsenal in the Europa League game and Emery must offer him another start in the League Cup.

The veteran Swiss international got his chance in the Europa League and Emery should rotate his squad to give him another opportunity.

The Englishman got his chance in the Europa League and looked quite solid after coming off the bench to replace Sokratis against Everton. Hence, Emery should hand him another start.

Arsenal are currently short of left-backs and Emery has no room to rest the veteran for the League Cup game.
Matteo Guendouzi (CDM)
The new signing showed strong signs of promise early in the season and Emery should rest Lucas Torreira to give the Frenchman a start.
Mohamed Elneny (CDM)
The Egyptian put in a solid shift in the midfield in the Europa League game and should once again start ahead of Granit Xhaka, who deserves rest.
Danny Welbeck (RW)
The English international should start ahead of Mesut Ozil, who needs to stay fresh for the weekend.
Alex Iwobi (LW)
The Nigerian has shown a lot of promise this season and Emery should hand him a start ahead of Aaron Ramsey.
Mesut Ozil (CAM)
Given that Mkhitaryan is injured, Emery does not have too many choices and must rotate Ozil and Ramsey to fill in the playmaker’s spot.
The youngster has made a name for himself in Arsenal’s youth ranks and was in the matchday squad for the Europa League game. Emery should rest Aubameyang and give him an opportunity to shine.
