Is Harrison Ford playing The Red Hulk in the new Captain America movie? Learn all the legendary actor had to say about the rumour.
Harrison Ford joining the MCU is something that no one really expected, but following the death of William Hurt, the Indiana Jones star stepped up to take on the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World and is also expected to appear in Thunderbolts.
However, there is one potential future for the character that Ford has now addressed, and that is his potential to be transformed into Red Hulk just like the comic book iteration of the character. During an interview ahead of the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Harrison Ford’s response to the question of whether he will become Red Hulk in future was pretty much exactly as you would expect from the veteran star: “What is a Red Hulk?”
After having a brief update on the history of Red Hulk, and Ford jokingly chastising his Dial of Destiny co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge for not bringing him up to speed on the Marvel Universe’s potential, he gave a very non-committed answer as to whether Red Hulk could feature in Captain America: Brave New World, saying, “it may or it may not.”
Anthony Mackie’s first movie as Captain America is set to have a significant impact on the MCU.
With only a handful of details known about the new Captain America movie, it is hard to tell exactly where the MCU will be heading after the movie tells its story. However, based on the casting, some unexpected MCU returnees and plenty of rumors it is easy to draw a potential picture of how pivotal to the franchise’s future Brave New World will be.
Captain America: Brave New World is set to come out in 2026, and is set to be the first movie to feature the former Falcon as the new Captain America.
