Audrey Hale’s friend Sydney Shere Sims: Nashville shooting recently became the center of attention following an unfortunate incident that transformed into a massacre.
The lone-wolf shooting act of an individual named Audrey Hale turned down three children, aged 9-each, and three staff members aged nearly 60 years on the spot. What seemed like a planned shooting prima facie, turned out to be more of a story with a romantic twist, that continues to be horrific.
Audrey Hale, the prime suspect shot dead by the police was thoroughly investigated by the Nashville police, leading to the discovery of plans and diagrams of targeting the premises from his residence. The shooter’s former classmate Samira Hardcastle brought to light a few points of interest that could aid the untangling of the massacre.
Samira in conversation with the police revealed that the shooter Hale had an infatuation for Sydney Sims who had suffered a horrendous death herself in a car accident, succumbing to her injuries a week later. The lady in question, Sydney Sims was a 27-year-old basketball teammate of Hale. The head-on car crash happened last August in Tennessee and impacted the shooter’s state of mind.
Not only this, a similar car crash killed another woman, only a few weeks ahead of Sims’ demise. Hale could be connected to Sims, filtering out a heartfelt message and a gift that Hale sent Sims’ family’s way. The message read, “With much love to the family, I will miss my dear friend Sydney forever. Rise Queen, You are Free!”
Samira Hardcastle mentioned the shooter’s side of the story highlighting his admiration for the deceased Sydney. She said, “Audrey admired Sydney.” The Sims family was approached following the killings and the discovery of a backlink with their daughter, who declined to comment. The car crash was a tragic one and the NY Post posts almost every day riled up Audrey a little more than usual.
Samira added, “After Sydney’s tragic death, Audrey was heartbroken over it … I just feel like she took it differently than some of us did. She was still posting about Sydney almost daily,” she said. A Nashville school surveillance shot emerged where Audrey could be spotted standing alone with a weapon.
The singularly attempted act was confirmed by Samira in her statement as well, saying, “I don’t think she was with anyone. She was just kind of by herself. I don’t think that they were very close but I think Audrey looked up to [her] like she looked up to Sydney. But I don’t know that it was ever, like, a two-way thing.”
The story was confirmed by the police, in agreement with the statements of others who knew of Audrey. One of the staff members who were connected to Audrey on social media. Told the police that she spotted posts from her account speaking about Sydney’s accident.
Hale’s art instructor at the Nossi College of Art & Design also came forward to throw light on a few of the comments that seemed intense. “A lot of comments about ‘you were all that mattered’ [and] ‘I’ll miss you forever,’ etc.,” said Maria Colomy, according to the official record.
The Police have been very proactive in the investigation, identifying the shooter by name at birth. Hale was described as a woman initially but later identified pluralistically as a transgender man. The shooter referred to themselves as Aiden on social media and resorted to using the ‘he/him’ pronouns.
Another piece of evidence has confirmed the details, a basketball teammate named Ms. Patton who was in contact with Hale even after school. She told the police that the last few messages read rather chilling. However, difficult to understand as they were slightly vague. A difference of merely half an hour between the message and the rampage. Hale broke into the school, shooting through the glass doors. Ms. Patton was shocked as there had been little contact between Hale and her during their adulthood.
The investigation seems to have connected the pieces. However, what happened with Sydney and the innocent lives that Hale took, continues to haunt the Nashville neighborhood.
