All you need to know about the thrilling horror movie Bodies Bodies Bodies, its ending, and all related details.
Bodies Bodies Bodies is a real game that a group of people can play together, similar to Mafia or Werewolf. During the movie, each player picked a piece of paper, and the one with an X on the card played the murderer. A murderer then quietly moves, tags one person to become his “victim,” and lays on the ground pretending to be dead while the lights are turned out, and the group disperses. Upon discovering the “dead person,” someone yells, “Body!” Body!”
The lights turn back on at that point. The group of the living debate who the killer is and put it to a vote while the “victim” must maintain silence for the duration of the game. Until everyone is found dead or the culprit is apprehended, the game goes on. At the beginning of Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, the characters begin to play this game, with Myha’la Herrold’s Jordan covertly being the “murderer” on paper and Lee Pace’s Greg being the first victim. Then, though, someone does pass away.
What happened at the ending of Bodies Bodies Bodies?
Among its many differences from other entries in the slasher genre, Bodies Bodies Bodies stands out. An unstoppable murderer’s unstoppable technique isn’t the story’s focus, but the toll being taken on the survivors by each death. It seems that the heroes have more reason to fear each other than the unseen killer as each body is discovered, raising the group’s paranoia, mistrust, and resentment towards one another.
The actual instigator of the violence in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is revealed in the last seconds of the film. Even while the audience laughs in the aisles, the unexpected ending alters the fabric of the narrative and leaves the characters traumatized by the discovery.
Bee (Maria Bakalova) is a college student who joins her lover Sophie (Amandla Stenberg) at a party with Sophie’s wealthier friends as they wait out a storm in a large estate. When the storm hits, the gang decides to play the titular game, but tensions build as the cyclone wipes out electricity and mobile coverage. The gang is now stranded in the dark when they find David (Pete Davidson) has had his throat slit with an ancient saber. The game is over, and among the heroes is a genuine killer.
Paranoia builds in as the youngsters strive to figure out which among them is the murderer. People lash out, old grudges resurface, and secrets are exposed, all as more and more people die. Finally, as the storm passes, Bee and Sophie are the sole survivors, but their relationship is in shambles. Bee has acknowledged lying about going to college in order to impress Sophie, and Sophie has admitted to cheating on Bee with her friend Jordan (Myha’la Herrold). An argument breaks out between the two, but they then come upon David’s phone and learn a horrifying fact.
The phone shows a TikTok depicting David using the sword to open a champagne bottle… and slashing his own neck in the process. There was no culprit, and all of the fatalities over the night were the result of chance accidents or the youths’ distrust of one another.
Bodies Bodies Bodies reveals the core idea really well. All that remains is the group’s persistent grievances, which develop into hostility as they are cut off from the rest of the world. Jordan’s callousness, Sophie’s drug addiction, and David’s insecurity explode in the midst of an explosion of adolescent violence. It all ends in vain. In both cases, Bee and Sophie have blood on their hands, and the only person responsible is themselves because of their own fear, hypocrisy, and flaws.
