The anthology series Extrapolations will tell the story of a future world facing severe climate change effects. The setting will serve as a common thread for various stories and characters. In addition to providing insights into how the current climate issue affects our world and overall welfare, the series will provide insightful commentary on it.
Various viewpoints will be examined regarding climate change’s effects. Whether from the perspective of scientists, citizens, the elite, kids, or political leaders, the series will emphasize the importance of taking effective action to save the earth and people
The official synopsis of the series is as follows: Extrapolations is a bracing drama from writer, director and executive producer Scott Z. Burns that introduces a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives. Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population.
Every story is different, but the fight for our future is universal. And when the fate of humanity is up against a ticking clock, the battle between courage and complacency has never been more urgent. Are we brave enough to become the solution to our own undoing before it’s too late?
When and where will Extrapolations be released?
Exclusively on Apple TV+, the anthology drama premieres on March 17. There will be a special package release of the first three episodes, which Friday releases of the remaining episodes will follow. Eight episodes are planned, each lasting about 60 minutes.
