A family feud has been reported between Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough, after the death of Lisa Marie Presley.
Priscilla Presley is the former wife of the later rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, and Rile Keough is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, who is the only child of Elvis and Priscilla.
The family feud centers on the $100 million estate of Lisa Marie Presley, who died in July 2020. Lisa Marie had reportedly named her mother Priscilla as the executor of her estate, but as per reports Riley Keough and her brother, Benjamin Keough had challenged the will in court, and they claimed that they were not adequately provided for in the estate plan.
Priscilla Presley – Riley Keough feud: The battle of $100 million estate
Reports suggest that the legal battle between the families intensified in the year 2021 when Priscilla filed court documents seeking to have the case moved from probate court to civil court.
It was argued by Priscilla’s attorneys that the move was necessary to ensure that Lisa Marie’s estate was managed in a way that was consistent with her wishes and to protect the privacy of her minor children.
However, the move was opposed by Riley’s attorney, arguing that it would delay the resolution of the case and increase legal fees. They also accused Priscilla of acting in her self-interest, rather than in the best interest of Lisa Marie’s children.
The family feud between the Presley families has generated a considerable amount of public attention, with fans of Elvis Presley and his family expressing their opinions on social media. However, without any concrete evidence or statements from the family members involved, it is difficult to know the true nature of the dispute.
