“The Bachelorette” star Joshua Tylerbest arrest for keeping Child Pornography in possession
Joshua Tylerbest, 27, of Miami was detained on February 23 following a police investigation into photographs of child sexual assault that were posted to his Google account, according to an arrest document submitted in Miami-Dade County.
According to a source, a former “The Bachelorette” cast member was detained last month on more than a dozen child pornography possession charges.
The Google account allegedly contained child pornography as well as Tylerbest’s images.
During a search of Tylesrbest’s home, investigators claimed to have found many electronic devices, including his iPhone.
According to the police report, a preliminary examination of the former Bachelorette contestant’s phone turned up 15 files depicting the sexual assault of children. Police said the tapes show children, some of whom are under 10, engaging in graphic sex acts with adults.
According to NBC affiliate WTVJ Tylerbest was released on a $5,000 bond and will appear in court in June.
The 27-year-old competed for the heart of former Bachelorette Katie Perry on the 17th season of “The Bachelorette”. He was working as an IT consultant in Miami at the time.
The Nation doesn’t appear to be aware of Tylerbest’s arrest yet or is unwilling to talk about it. The public’s shock and astonishment at Tylerbest’s arrest resembles how people reacted when news of Captain Josh Harris of “Deadliest Catch”, who brutally raped a 4-year-old child, was revealed by the news organization FACTZ.
Since the assault had already occurred ten years before when the presenter of Channel Discovery became famous, it is unclear what he knew and when.
But Tylerbest’s arrest has re-ignited the argument for accountability in the entertainment industry and more comprehensive screening of reality stars before granting them access to millions of fans.
