Amy Andrews of Fox News is a well-known news presenter who is associated with the channel since 2011. Her ties with the Fox Network have led her to be tagged as one of the finest and leading anchors in the industry.
The anchor disappeared from the screen for a while uninformed, when a storm of questions started hitting the internet. The fans mustered with concerns as she was replaced from her usual slot on the channel. Soon after, the anchor announced her sabbatical recently, quoting her mental health as a subject of concern.
Amy announced her break through a message and explained her side of the story. She wrote, “Hello my loves. A lot of you have been asking where I’ve been.”
“Unfortunately, I have to take a few weeks off from anchoring @FOX2News mornings to deal with some health issues.” She also added, “I want you to know I will miss you very much. Please keep me in your thoughts.”
Amy’s post was followed by support and affection pouring in for her. The anchor asked for the time off the grid without mentioning any specifics anywhere.
However, after a while report came up describing her struggles with depression and anxiety. The return was speculated around 3 months following the post when she took to Twitter for thanking Fox Network for allowing her to make her mental health a priority.
Her supporters were gushed with delight as she wrote that she might return soon and soon after took to her usual Friday slot. The support and kindness that the anchor received made her even better as per her statement.
The Fox 2 Detroit Anchor describes herself as a ‘Child of God, Ally, Yogi and a Marathoner’. Given her enthusiasm for fitness and her presence, it’s only delightful news that she is in a good space both physically as well as mentally.
