Let us check out who holds the new Guinness World Record for solving a 3×3 Rubik’s cube and more about the timing and so on.

Max Park has stunned the world with his incredible speed and accuracy yet again recently. In a stunning display of talent, Max broke the Guinness World Record for the “fastest time to solve a 3x3x3 rotating puzzle cube.” He broke the previous record of 3.47 seconds set in 2018 by completing the Rubik’s Cube in an astounding 3.13 seconds with lightning-fast agility.

On June 12, 2023, the astonishing event took place in the energetic metropolis of Long Beach, California. Max Park stunned spectators and other cubers by showcasing his unmatched expertise and solving the challenge at an unbelievable rate. But the young man made an outstanding accomplishment and showed why he is a Rubik’s Cube master.

Max Park Early Life

But the early days of Max Park were really struggling, and maybe that’s the reason why he stands out of the crowd now. Max was born on November 28, 2001, in Cerritos, California, and has struggled greatly throughout his early life.  When he started growing up, he was given a diagnosis of moderate to severe autism at the age of two. His parents, Miki and Schwan Park, were devastated when they heard that he might need lifelong care, which made them so worried about their son’s future.

Max’s quest, however, took a surprising turn when he became fascinated with the Rubik’s Cube. Even though Max has autism, which affects his motor skills, his mother, Miki Park, decided to teach him how to complete the challenging puzzle. They had no idea that this would set Max on the path to his amazing success.

Fast-forward a few years, and Max Park’s talent and commitment allowed him to set multiple speed-cubing world records. At the Marshall Cubing competition in September 2022, he won the coveted championship for the average time of five 3x3x3 solves, achieving an astounding average of 4.86 seconds. On March 12, 2022, Max also achieved the world record for one-handed solving with an average time of 9.02 seconds.

The larger puzzles are also dominated by Max, in addition to the 3x3x3 cube. He achieved world records at the Florida Big & Blind Time competition in 2022 for the fastest single solve and the average time for five 5x5x5 solves, coming in at 33.02 seconds and 38.42 seconds, respectively. Additionally, Max is an expert at the 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 cubes, setting records for both a single solve and the average of three solves.

Max has made contributions outside the cubing community as well. He rose to fame in 2020 as a result of being associated with the fascinating Netflix documentary “The Speed Cubers.” Max Park and Feliks Zemdegs are followed as they embark on their incredible journey as speedcubers in the movie, which explores the world of speedcubing.
