When did Bob Maxon suffer a heart attack and what happened to him?
On March 21, 2017, NBC Connecticut meteorologist Bob Maxon experienced a small heart attack, but he is doing fine now, according to an on-air announcement made on Monday morning. Bob Maxon told The Courant in a phone conversation on Monday that he has been at his house in Simsbury since he was released from St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford on Thursday afternoon.
Bob claimed he felt ill after going out to eat with his daughter on Monday night. I ate some baked things fishy. What he stated didn’t quite make sense. His better half and eldest child were on a college tour. Paying for education “may have been one of the causes for all the stress,” he said.
Maxon claimed he woke up feeling strange on Tuesday. Do I have indigestion? I pondered. I had arrived at the office and was going about my usual routine. He said, “I made it through the concerts.” “I was nauseous and my joints hurt. After arriving in Avon, Maxon went to the Hartford HealthCare Urgent Care facility there. A nurse checked his vitals and spoke with him. He was then given five infant aspirins. Ten minutes later, he was being loaded onto a trolley and into an ambulance, he added.
St. Francis Hospital is where he was brought. “I just had that device inserted up my thigh; it was an angiography. They discovered little damage and an insignificant obstruction, he added. Nothing invasive was done; no bypass, no ballooning. Medication and physical activity from here on out.” The lesson Bob has learned is that “people can’t disregard their genetic nature,” he added.
Heart attacks have run in my family for many years and generations. At the age of 50, he had one. At age 54, my brother had a triple bypass. Heart problems ran in both sets of grandparents’ families. You can’t escape your own DNA,” he added. “Smoking was a significant influence in that, and I’m not a smoker.
I can go out and do things like ride my bike for hours or run a 5K for charity, but I have no control over my own mind. Your DNA is completely unique to you. Bob Maxon’s Facebook page had almost a thousand expressions of support by Monday afternoon. In his message, he said that he will return “when the weather becomes springlike or when the doctor says I can come back.”
