The makers have confirmed the release date for Percy Jackson and the Olympians as December 20, 2023. There have been two movies before this in the Olympian books wherein the first film starring Logan Lerman as the hero made up to $100 million, but the latter was not able to generate as much revenue.

The shooting for the first season started at the end of May 2022, and the filming was completed in February 2023. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Twelve-year-old Percy is set out to go on the most angry quest of his life. With the help of Satyr and Athena, he sets out on a journey to the United States to look for the thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction, Zeus’s master bolt. On his way, he will face various obstacles and find out a lot of secrets in the series.

What is the release date and platform for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be released on Disney+ on December 20, 2023. The show will revolve around the five series of the same name by Rick Riordan. The series will comprise the following novels: The Lighting Thief, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, and The Last Olympian.

The sixth edition of the series is yet to be released in September. The release date of the move has been confirmed through a teaser that has been made public on August 18th. The trailer offers insight into the adventures that Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are about to experience in the series.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians cast comprises fresh and younger talent, and the series will involve Walker Scobell as Percy, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, and Leah Sava Jefferies as Annabeth. Lance Reddick will play the role of Zeus. Toby Stephens plays Poseidon, who is the father of Percy in the series.

Jay Duplass will act as Hades. The role of Hermes will be played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Adam Copeland as Ares, and Timothy Omundson as Hephaestus. Riordan has actively participated in the selection of cast and crew for the series. There were criticisms raised by the fandom about being given the role of Annabeth, but Riordan defended her and called people out for being racist.
