Rachel Morin, a mother of five, was found dead on the Ma and Pa trail. The police officer had her car abandoned near the trail, and the cause of her death is still unknown. Harford County Sheriff Jeffry Gahler stated that the investigation has been going on and they have yet to see signs of a homicide.
Rachel has left behind a boyfriend, five children, and her sister, brother, and mother. Rachel’s sister, Rebekah Morinhas, started a Gofundme so as to cover her funeral costs. She posted on her Facebook account about her sister’s death and how she was not in the state to give out details, but she stated that her sister did not have life insurance.
She stated that she has created a GoFundMe in her sister’s name to cover her funeral expenses, as her sister and mother will be holding the funeral and they need funds for the day. She also said that due to her sister’s untimely death, she does not deserve to go without a proper funeral.
The fundraiser raised for Rachel Morin has raised a total of $35,877, and the target for the fund is $65,000. Her sister has stated that they are extremely grateful for all the contributions that have been made, and if the amount exceeds expectations, the remaining amount will be used for the welfare of Rachel’s five children.
It’s a double loss for their family, as a week ago, Rachel Morin’s brother had a stroke, and her sudden death has been traumatic for the family. Her sister had mentioned time and again that it was a very crucial moment for the family, and they were just trying to cover up the funeral expenses.
Her family does not believe that it is accurate. Her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, even posted on his Facebook page and said that he would never do anything to her. The police have stated that there are no suspects, and they’re still investigating the matter. This incident is ghastly, and Rachel Morin deserves justice.
