The first season was streaming on HIDIVE, and the second season, which was announced in February 2023, will also stream on the same streaming platform.

Eminence in Shadow was written by Daisuke Aizawa. The story revolves around the protagonist, Cid Kageno, who does not want the spotlight and simply wants to control the strings from behind. A lawless city is shown in the trial of three new monarchs of the city, and it highlights Cid’s motives and plans for the city. Cid’s sister, Claire, will also be instrumental in the second season.

Clips from the second trailer have added a lot of suspense to what’s next to happen, and new characters have been added this year. In the eighth season, Cid and his sister will go together to fight against the Blood Queen in the lawless city on the day of the Legendary Red Moon event.

He recruits Shadow Garden members against the Blood Queen and other monarchs. Another news for fans is that, apart from HIDIVE, the show can also be featured on Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video.
