Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor, also known as Shuhada Sadaqat, passed away at her private home in London. Her burial was held on August 8, 2023. She was buried in her town Bray in Ireland, where she had lived for about fifteen years. She loved living in Bray and the people there.

She was seen strolling around the town and helping people with mental health issues. Her burial had taken place in an Islamic manner because she converted to Islam in October 2018. Her funeral procession took place in Bray, wherein she was shown the streets of Bray for the last time, and her procession also stopped in front of her former home to pay respects.

Thousands of people showed up to thank her for her contributions to the musical industry. After being shown to the public for the last time, her family proceeded with her private burial.

When did the last rites of the Irish singer take place?

The last rites of the singer took place on August 8, 2023. Her funeral procession consists of her fans, family members, and friends in her hometown. Irish singers such as Bono and Bob Geldof were the first to pay her their respects. The last rites were codified by Umar al-Qadri, an Islamic scholar, and the chief Imam at the center of Ireland.

Mr. Qadri stated that it was an honour for him to lead the proceedings for the daughter of Ireland. A procession began from the harbor end of the Strand Road and continued to the other end of the Strand Road. The final tributes were paid by people outside her home “Montebello”.
