Vance Walker is the winner of American Ninja Warrior 2023. He is an 18-year-old man who was born with cerebral palsy, and it is unfortunate that he will never be able to walk or play sports. Walker is the third winner of the show since it appeared on screen, and he has defied all the odds that were stacked against him.

Vance faced a wide variety of struggles at a young age where he had to put in extra effort to do what other normal kids could do easily without any effort. Another interesting fact about Walker was that he had his sights set on the show at the age of 13.

He enrolled in an online school to train for American Ninja Warrior, and he won American Ninja Warrior Junior twice. Walker defeated Daniel Gil by climbing the 75-foot rope in 26.75 seconds.

Walker said that as soon as he hit the Stage 3 buzzer, he became somnotional and pressed the buzzer 20 times. Vance Walker spoke about his cerebral palsy and stated his spastic diplegia keeps his legs very tight and twitchy.

He also talks about how he refused to let his problems become an obstacle to competing because he worked hard towards his fitness and maintaining himself. On winning the show, Walker said, “A lot was going through my mind when I realized that I had finally won.”

“Those eight years of just pain and suffering and putting myself through absolute torture to achieve this goal just all came together at once. Just knowing that it finally paid off and knowing that all that hard work was finally for something was just—I don’t even know how to describe it. It was just beautiful.

He said that he would come back for more and compete in the game next time, and he will continue to do so as long as he is allowed to do so. He plans to compete in the next season, and he will prepare harder to win again.
